🎉 Meet Makenzi Enos, the Talent Division Portfolio Analyst at Griffiss Institute (GI)! 🎉
Makenzi brings a wealth of experience to the GI team, with a background as a Special Education Teacher, Marketing Coordinator for the City of Rome, and Photojournalist for the Rome Sentinel. This diverse set of skills is the perfect fit for GI, as we thrive on new ideas and support many different avenues of success. Makenzi’s unique experiences make her an invaluable asset, allowing us to grow and improve every day.
Makenzi’s best advice for success is to “ask questions! A lot of them. There is never a time not to ask questions because that is where learning happens.” There is always something new to learn at GI, and with a team as diverse and unique as Makenzi’s, every single person has something valuable to teach. This culture of continuous learning helps GI reach new heights every single day.
Outside of work, Makenzi loves the fun opportunities in Central New York, especially the World Series of Bocce – a unique sport with its premier Northeast tournament held right here in Rome, NY – and Honor America Days, an annual celebration featuring a parade, food trucks, fireworks, and an orchestral concert that ends with the 1812 Overture with actual cannon fire accompaniment from the local Fort Stanwix National Monument.
Outside of the bigger celebrations, Makenzi’s favorite pastime in Central New York is fishing. While she prefers to keep her favorite spots a secret, she encourages others to explore and discover their own. There are plenty of great fishing areas to uncover if you’re up for a little adventure.
And as a final piece of Makenzi trivia, she is completely obsessed with Halloween! She has a 12′ Skeleton and a life-size Michael Myers prop, so you can bet that you will find her fully embracing the spooky season to its fullest every autumn 🎃👻!
