Joining the team at the end of 2022, Katie was excited to immerse herself in an environment full of people who love to learn. Known for her exceptional people skills, Katie makes a point to learn everyone’s names, address them personally, and follow up regularly. This natural talent for networking helps her stay engaged with and fully support the students she works with.
Katie is also an avid reader who finds inspiration in being around others who share her excitement for trying new things. For incoming interns, she advises listening and learning from those around you and reaching out beyond your immediate intern group. “Ask all the questions, do not hold back. Be open-minded to learning in new ways.” This curiosity, she believes, will lead to amazing hands-on experiences and countless learning opportunities at GI.
When not at work, Katie is an outdoors enthusiast. She loves camping, hiking, and exploring nature. For any fellow nature afficionados, she recommends visiting Delta Lake State Park for local outings, and for those willing to travel a bit further she highly suggests a trip to Old Forge.
