Meet Jen Marshall: Director of Strategic Program Pursuits & Launches at Griffiss Institute (GI)!
Jen brings a wealth of experience and infectious enthusiasm to the Griffiss Institute, where she is involved in STEM camp funding, SmartSheet operations, grant writing, project management, and much more.
While Jen wasn’t initially looking for a new job, the opportunity to join GI intrigued her. After learning about the mission from her father—a former Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) employee—she decided to take the leap and contribute to making a difference in our community and nation.
Since joining GI, Jen’s biggest takeaway is the institute’s incredible environment of collaboration and collective achievement. One prime example of this was her involvement in leading the creation of a major proposal through the National Science Foundation (NSF). “We pulled an amazing team of partners together and had a great concept to achieve incredible things for our region and nation.” Jen looks back on the project as a testament to the team’s incredible effort and dedication, proving that at GI, we always have each other’s backs and strive for greatness.
Networking has been a key factor in Jen’s journey. She believes in the power of making connections and fostering an environment where understanding each other’s drives, needs, and strengths leads to collective achievement.
Outside of work, Jen is a dedicated American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) coach for her kids. She is also an avid hiker, enjoying the beauty of the Adirondacks and Catskills with her family, especially around Woodstock and Overlook Mountain.
Join us in celebrating Jen Marshall, a true asset to our team and an inspiration to us all!
