Meet Ashley Springer, the Human Resources Manager at Griffiss Institute (GI)!
Ashley felt an immediate sense of belonging the moment she stepped into the Griffiss Institute’s headquarters at the Innovare Advancement Center. She instantly recognized GI as a place that supports its employees’ growth and development, making it a dream come true when she was promoted to HR Manager. In her role, Ashley helps further this mission, regularly sending out uplifting messages and words of encouragement, such as, “Collaborate, explore, and imagine the unimaginable. You can make it happen if you can dream it.” According to Ashley, small gestures like this make all the difference.
At GI, Ashley loves the emphasis on professional development and the variety of fun opportunities and events including workshops, networking opportunities, and events like the summer’s weekly Tech Talks which provide a platform for colleagues to share innovative ideas with each other. This open and creative environment at GI encourages the free flow of ideas and continuous innovation, making it an exciting place to work every day.
Outside of work, Ashley can be found enjoying the hiking trails, sculpture parks, and outdoor activities like frisbee-golf around the Griffiss Business & Technology Park. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors is also evident in her work as a personal trainer, where she emphasizes the importance of weight training, hitting all muscle groups, and HIIT cardio. Ashley believes that staying active and healthy is crucial for one’s overall well-being and she brings this philosophy into her training sessions.
When she’s not on the move, Ashley is an avid reader. She enjoys diving into a good book and has a particular fondness for A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole, the Harry Potter series, books by Colleen Hoover, and The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. Her love for reading provides a perfect balance to her active lifestyle, offering moments of relaxation and an escape into different worlds.
