Meet Ariana Belluscio, the Project Support Associate for the Intern Team here at the Griffiss Institute (GI)!
Having grown up in a military household, Ariana was inspired by the GI’s mission to help protect and grow our nation. She is also a strong advocate for further education and appreciates the GI’s enthusiastic support for the professional development of its staff, which has allowed her to pursue her third degree!
Along these lines, Ariana is thrilled by the GI’s support systems through its employees and policies themselves. The GI constantly seeks to enhance its programs, offering employees opportunities to take courses and workshops, and providing interns with enriching experiences like trips to Gettysburg and participation in local events such as Rome’s Honor America Days.
In addition to all of this, Ariana is excited by the innovative culture that the GI radiates. For example, she specifically notes the abundant networking opportunities available from bringing like-minded individuals together to uniting aspiring tech professionals with influential figures across various fields. The environment at the GI ensures that the opportunities are endless.
Outside of work, Ariana is passionate about community involvement and is committed to ensuring that everyone at the GI engages with the local area. This year, she has taken on a personal project to create community engagement opportunities for everyone. One of her personal favorite activities is visiting Syracuse, New York, which is about an hour away. This city has a “small-scale New York City” vibe with its diverse Destiny USA mall and amazing restaurants. Ariana particularly recommends Pastabilities, where she enjoys their hot tomato oil and Alfredo pasta with blackened chicken.
