Experience FPV Flying!

CNY Drones is pleased to host an Experience FPV (First Person View) beginner drone flying session on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Utica Jewish Community Center (JCC) for ages 11+. This 2-hour introductory program is for those new to flying drones using First Person View goggles.  Experienced drone enthusiasts will share their knowledge and give advice on flying safely indoors using Tiny Whoop drones.  The session will be held from 8:00pm to 10:00pm in the JCC Auditorium, where a test flight zone will allow flyers to get practice with the help of experienced pilots in a controlled environment.  Step by step instructions will give participants flying basics and knowledge of safety procedures.  Participants will be paired, working as pilot and spotter.  Participant to mentor ratio is an amazing 2 to 1. Program size is limited to 10 participants. Online pre-registration required.  Deadline is December 24, 2017.  Fee is $40 and includes use of a drone with camera, radio controller and FPV goggles.  Checks, cash and PayPal accepted.

CNY Drones events steer tech-minded students and hobbyists towards education and employment opportunities.  In addition to drone programs, CNY Drones hosts an informational hub to keep the local drone community connected to STEM events, safety updates, and the latest technology information.
