Darian joined our team in mid-2023, starting her journey with us as part of the Events Team before transitioning over to Marketing and Communications earlier this year. She was most excited about the opportunity to learn from the experienced professionals found throughout the organization and to contribute to GI’s mission of nurturing the next generation of STEM talent for the region, state, and nation.
For those joining the GI team, whether through summer internships or future careers, Darian advises making connections, embracing collaboration and teamwork, and fully engaging in the programs and experiences offered by GI. The entire team is thrilled to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth, brainstorming new projects, and building upon past successes to create even greater achievements.
One of Darian’s standout moments since she has been here has been her involvement in Women Investing in Women with the Women’s Fund of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. She looks back on it as a great opportunity to connect with the community and celebrate female business owners in the area.
Speaking of the area, Darian is a passionate advocate for exploring Rome, NY, as it boasts numerous hidden gems waiting to be discovered. She particularly recommends exploring the small businesses on West Dominick St., including superofficial, the Copper Easel, the Keaton and Lloyd Bookshop, the Capitol Theatre, and more!
