Business Accelerator and Incubator
- The Griffiss Institute is the only business accelerator and incubator in the Mohawk Valley.
- The incubator is dedicated to high tech business development specifically focused on Information Technology with further emphasis on Information Assurance.
- The Griffiss Institute is unique as the only partnership intermediary with an associated incubator facility.
- A unique aspect of the GI Incubator, separating us from other incubators nationwide, is based on our proximity to and relationship with AFRL/RI.
- The heart of the incubator will be a collaborative laboratory facility at the GI.
Partnership Intermediary Agreement
The objective of this effort is to facilitate the transfer of government developed technologies from AFRL to the public and private sectors through a formal Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) between the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the Griffiss Institute.Under the PIA the GI will identify subject matter experts (SMEs) to work within the technical divisions of the AFRL Information Directorate. The SMEs will assist in identifying potential Technology Transfer (T2) opportunities and collaborations.
