Technology Transfer
Technology Transfer is the sharing or transferring of information, data, hardware, personnel, services, facilities or other scientific resources for the benefit of the private or public sector. In 2008 the Griffiss Institute entered into a partnership Intermediary Agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Rome NY to become an agent for technology Transfer (T2). The services we perform for AFRL T2 are:
Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)
Cooperative Test Agreements (CTAs)
Patents
Patent License Agreements
Educational Partnership Agreements (EPAs)
Technical Assistance
Congress passed specific legislation encouraging technology transfer in 1980. Since then, Congress has continued to strengthen technology transfer through additional pieces of legislation. The White House has also initiated new programs emphasizing the transfer of technology to stimulate the economy and to improve the international competitiveness of American industry.
